RDS Contracting of Lakeside is building a new storage facility on Commerce Court in French Valley, a long-vacant parcel a few blocks east of the Murrieta Hot Springs/Winchester roads intersection.
The facility, which surprised some area residents who didn’t know land that stretch of Murrieta Hot Springs was zoned for industrial buildings, should be open this fall. It will be run by San Diego Self Storage, which has 17 locations in San Diego and Riverside counties, including Butterfield Ranch Self Storage on Temecula Parkway.
“This new facility (Silverhawk Self Storage) will feature our ‘First Price Guarantee,’ climate control units, on-site resident management, a free move-in truck and so much more,” according to San Diego Self Storage’s website.
The facility, which was approved by the county in 2003, will have 900 ground-level units and about one-third of the units will have drive-up access.
