From June 1st to June 30th, each of our 20 facilities is hosting a Food Drive through The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and the North County Food Bank.
The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and the North County Food Bank chapter comprise the largest hunger-relief organization in San Diego County. Last year, the Food Bank distributed 63 million pounds of food, and the Food Bank serves, on average, 500,000 people per month in San Diego County.
The Food Bank also provides food to more than 500 nonprofits that operate feeding programs. Nonprofits pick up food from the Food Bank’s warehouse and distribute the food to people in need in their areas. These nonprofits include soup kitchens, shelters, churches with feeding programs, schools, senior and disabled living facilities, and food pantries.
With your help, we can all make a difference in our local neighborhoods by contributing to this incredible cause. Please see our 3 easy and convenient ways to donate to the Food Banks this year:
1. Physical donations! All 18 of our locations are registered “drop-off” sites. Please look for the iconic red barrels in our facility offices and place your donation there. To find a facility near you, click here.
2. Cash/Checks: We will be accepting monetary donations. All checks need to be made out to "The San Diego Food Bank".
3. Online: We are hosting a virtual food drive! Click this link to donate today! Every $1.00 = 5 meals!
