The team at Butterfield Ranch Self Storage (BRSS) is proud to provide their 2021 charitable gift to Michelle’s Place Cancer Resource Center. Now celebrating 20 years, the Center was created as a dying wish of Michelle Watson. Michelle was a 26-year-old victim of breast cancer. As a Temecula resident, Michelle was frustrated with the lack of local resources available to her while facing the challenges of cancer treatment. In the wake of Michelle’s passing, family, friends, and the community came together to create the resource center in her memory. Today, Michelle’s Place provides over 10,000 free services a year to individuals and families impacted by all types of cancers.

BRSS staff specifically chose Michelle’s Place because Storage Consultant, Yvette, volunteered for the Center for a few months in 2019. Yvette found it very rewarding to be able to comfort these women. She assisted survivors by helping them pick out wigs, scarves, and bras. She spent most of her time at the front desk and was the first face visitors would see. Yvette's service as a volunteer for Michelle's Place is a special memory for her.

The donation will help pay for mammogram tool kits, grocery gift cards, treatment travel assistance, wigs, hats, Thanksgiving meals, and more.
