The team at Encinitas Self Storage is proud to provide their 2021 charitable gift to Encinitas4Equality (E4E). Since May of 2020, E4E has dedicated itself to making Encinitas an actively anti-racist community with greater diversity and enhanced equity for Black, Indigenous, and other Persons of Color (BIPOC), LGTBQ, and anyone who faces hardships and/or discrimination.
ESS staff specifically chose our Encinitas4Equality organization from a recommendation from a dear tenant of ours, Carol Rea Smith. Carol has done tremendous work in the community and now has ventured out throughout San Diego to help refugees in need. We further researched E4E and found how well they matched our values. We too want to treat our community equally in every aspect.
This donation will be used for mentorship & scholarship opportunities for underserved youth, community space rent, hiring BIPOC consultants to lead workshops, and supporting their overall mission in our local communities.
