Golden Triangle Self Storage (GTSS) selected The Polinsky Children’s Center as their chosen charity for 2021. The Polinsky Children’s Center is based in the Kearny Mesa neighborhood of San Diego. The Center works with Child Protective Services and serves as a 24-hour facility for the temporary, emergency shelter of children, separated from their families. Each month more than 100 children of all ages are admitted to the Polinsky Children's Center. The Center feeds and clothes the children, and provides in-house counseling when needed.
Polinsky Children’s Center is especially dear to GTSS staff member, Donna McMillen. When Donna was very young, she was placed at The Polinsky Children’s Center where they made her feel at home, safe, and secure. Donna said, “Without a place like this, I don’t know where I would have gone.”
The GTSS donation will provide clothing and school supplies, which are so greatly needed.
