When the Encinitas Self Storage (ESS) team was researching local charities, they chose to focus on organizations which benefit children. The staff discovered Los Angelitos de Encinitas. and agreed with the principle that every child should have the opportunity to be a part of after school programs, without having to worry about costs.

What the ESS team learned is that some children in Encinitas are unable to participate in youth sports programs because of the cost. Additionally, many families cannot afford after-school care, which leads to those children to struggle academically.

Los Angelitos is working in partnership with the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA, Encinitas Soccer League and our local public schools. As Los Angelitos grows, they plan to partner with other local organizations to advance these goals. The group believes that by providing these basic needs and opportunities, these children will become a positive member of their families, neighborhoods and community.

Karina and Ruben, met John and Bill at Dick’s Sporting Goods, where families were invited to sign up their children for soccer. Families were able to purchase gear at a lower cost thanks to the help of their sponsor, Encinitas Soccer League (which also happens to be loyal customer of ESS).
