Each year, all 20 of our self-storage facilities are given the opportunity to hand-deliver a monetary donation to a deserving local charity of their choosing. We look forward to this annual project as it is our way of giving back to the neighborhoods and communities that have so generously supported San Diego Self Storage for almost 50 years!
The first donation for our 2022 Community Giving Project was presented to Casa Familiar by our Otay Crossing Self Storage location. Casa Familiar is a nonprofit organization that has been empowering the South Bay community for over 50 years. With over 40 bilingual programs and services currently available to the community, Casa Familiar is committed to providing a greater quality of life to those in need.
Casa Familiar offers programs like Civic Engagement, Health & Social Services, Arts & Culture, and Education. Their approach also includes new infrastructure projects that have made them the leading community development organization in San Ysidro.
Otay Crossing Self Storage is very honored to contribute to Casa Familiar's unwavering mission. With the understanding that their mission is far from over and there are many goals to attain, they are confident that united they can achieve those goals together to ensure a better tomorrow.
