Smart Self Storage of Eastlake is proud to provide its 2021 charitable gift to The Animal Pad. The Animal Pad is a non-profit, all-breed dog rescue that focuses on saving dogs from high-kill shelters. They provide rescued animals with vet care, place them in foster homes, and then find them loving forever families. Since 2010, The Animal Pad has been rescuing street dogs from Southern California and Mexico. The Animal Pad is only able to operate with the efforts of a wide network of volunteers, fosters, donors, sponsor organizations, and adopters.
Sarah Taylor, Manager of Smart Self Storage of Eastlake, had the pleasure of meeting all of the foster dogs at an Animal Pad hosted event on August 7th at the Chula Vista Brewery. It warmed her heart to see happy and healthy pups. Sarah said, “It was amazing to see the community The Animal Pad has brought together. I learned first-hand how foster parents created a welcoming, safe space for the animals. These animals survived abuse, malnourishment, and life-threatening ailments. It was inspiring to be surrounded by a group of people who do good.”
