Our pride swells when we talk about our tenants, and today, we’re thrilled to spotlight two remarkable tenant organizations: WOMP (Women’s Outreach Mentorship Program) and SNAP (Spay Neuter Action Project). In addition to providing them storage solutions, we've recently had the honor of making charitable donations to support their transformative missions.
Spotlight on WOMP
Housed within our storage facilities, the Women’s Outreach Mentorship Program (WOMP) is an initiative of the Changing Tides Foundation. Focusing on underserved teenage girls in North County San Diego, WOMP uses surfing as a medium of empowerment and environmental education. Each participant is paired with a dedicated surf mentor, guaranteeing a supportive presence during their weekly sessions.
WOMP is more than just surfing; it provides holistic growth opportunities. From surf safety, therapy, menstrual health, to topics like art, environmental consciousness, and body positivity, WOMP ensures comprehensive personal development for its participants. They meet on Wednesdays from 4:30-7:30 pm during the Spring, Summer, and Fall sessions, creating a nurturing environment for these young girls to thrive.

Highlighting SNAP's Noble Mission
Another esteemed tenant, SNAP, has been at the forefront of addressing pet overpopulation since 1996. Through their innovative Neuter Scooter mobile units, SNAP has neutered over 85,000 dogs, cats, and rabbits. Beyond these surgeries, SNAP is committed to a broader spectrum of services including education, referrals, and other essential pet services such as free vaccines, nail trims, medication, and microchips.
Considering the overwhelming numbers – with two dogs having the potential to produce up to 70,000 offspring in just six years and two cats leading to over 400,000 kittens – SNAP's mission is crucial. Their Neuter Scooters are strategically dispatched to areas of utmost need, offering cost-effective procedures, ensuring that pet overpopulation is mitigated at its root.
