Golden Triangle Self Storage Supports the San Diego Brain Injury Foundation

|

At San Diego Self Storage, giving back to our community is a core part of who we are. This year, our Golden Triangle Self Storage team selected the San Diego Brain Injury Foundation (SDBIF) as our annual charity recipient — an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for brain injury survivors and their families.

Why We Chose SDBIF

The San Diego Brain Injury Foundation, founded in 1983, has been a critical resource for over 11,000 San Diego County residents impacted by brain injuries each year. Their mission is to provide education, resources, advocacy, and community awareness for survivors, their families, and caregivers.

Members of our SDSS family have been personally affected by traumatic brain injury (TBI), whether from a stroke, car accident, sporting incident, or military service. Our connection to this cause made supporting SDBIF a natural choice.

Meeting the Team at Liberty Station

Our team members — LaShonda, Jennifer, and Greg — visited SDBIF’s headquarters at Liberty Station in Point Loma to meet with Theo Cunningham (Engagement & Outreach Liaison), Dr. Knox (Program Coordinator & Community Liaison), and Luke Spengler (Program Coordinator). We were proud to present our donation check, take photos, and discuss future volunteer opportunities.

Supporting Brain Injury Survivors Year-Round

SDBIF provides programs such as the Howard House Residential Facility, the Annual Brain Injury Symposium, and the HeadStrong Walk & Health Fair at Mission Bay Park. They also host monthly peer support groups and art classes for stroke and brain injury survivors.

We are honored to support their mission and look forward to volunteering at future events.
