This past May 5, 2026, the team at San Diego Self Storage proudly joined the community at the annual Padres Summer Blood Drive at Gallagher Square inside Petco Park. Hosted in partnership with the San Diego Blood Bank and the San Diego Padres, the event brought together hundreds of local donors, volunteers, and organizations with one shared mission: helping save lives across San Diego County.
The 2026 event marked the 10th Annual Padres Summer Blood Drive, a longtime San Diego tradition that helps support local hospitals during the busy summer season when blood supplies often decline. Donors gathered throughout the day to donate blood, receive exclusive Padres giveaways, and support patients in need throughout Southern California.
SDSS Volunteers Step Up for the Community
San Diego Self Storage was proud to coordinate and support more than 10 volunteers during this year’s event. Team members from across multiple SDSS locations participated throughout the day, assisting with event support, donor coordination, and helping create a welcoming environment for attendees visiting Gallagher Square.
From greeting donors to helping direct traffic around the bloodmobiles and activity areas, our team was honored to play a role in such an impactful community event. Events like these are a reminder that local businesses can make a meaningful difference when they come together to support important causes across San Diego.
Supporting the San Diego Blood Bank Throughout the Year
Community involvement has always been an important part of the culture at San Diego Self Storage. The San Diego Blood Bank serves hospitals throughout San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange Counties, helping ensure patients have access to lifesaving blood products during emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatments, and ongoing medical care.
