This past weekend, our SDSS “central” team participated in an Imperial Beach clean-up through the Surf Rider Foundation.
The Surf Rider Foundation is a wide-scale, nationwide, non-profit organization that strives to keep our beaches, coastlines, and local water clean and safe through various campaigns and programs.
The Surf Rider Foundation currently has 11 active campaigns in San Diego that range from Border water pollution solutions, rising water lines, to no more cigarette butts. Some of their programs include testing our coastal waters and reducing plastic pollution, but overall Surf Rider’s programs help ensure that our marine ecosystems are protected.
We want to thank the Surf Rider Foundation for allowing us to be a part of their mission this past weekend! It is because of them that our marine ecosystems are experiencing relief and care in a time of need.
