San Diego, CA, April 1, 2016 - San Diego Self Storage facilities span San Diego County from Oceanside to Otay Mesa. The organization wanted to find a way for all 17 locations to develop meaningful ties to their local communities. Each site was given $500 to contribute to any organization they see fit. The staff collectively decides and organizes a meeting with their chosen organization. In 2015, numerous children’s organizations and pet-friendly charities were the most popular beneficiaries.
The team at Smart Self Storage of Solana Beach (SBSS) chose to provide their contribution to the Helen Woodward Animal Center, and got some puppy love in the process! They made their contribution to the Helen Woodard Animal Center in 2015, as well.
Shanti is the new Development Assistant at the Center. She and the rest of the staff were thrilled to receive the donation. SBSS representative, Cory, was pretty delighted that Shanti brought out some puppies for the photo. She later commented, “It's an awesome feeling to help out and thank you, SDSS for making it happen!” Giving to the community is a gesture our employees are truly finding joy in doing.
