For the past sixteen years, San Diego Self Storage (SDSS) and all 17 of our locations throughout San Diego County have enthusiastically supported the Toys for Tots program. “The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.”
With your help in 2013, we collected over 16,000 toys for the program. We look to do even better this year! OUR GOAL IN 2014 IS OVER 17,000 TOYS! Everyone at San Diego Self Storage is very excited for this year’s campaign! All locations are ready to receive your donation of new, unwrapped toys.
In partnership with Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill, SDSS serves as their official donation center. Beginning November 1st, those who drop off new, unwrapped toys will be treated to a special Rubio’s coupon (while supplies last). In addition, SDSS and Rubio’s are sponsoring a special community service campaign for high school students. The student who collects the largest number of new, unwrapped toys and delivers them to a San Diego Self Storage location before December 12, 2014 will be eligible to win a WiFi iPad Mini and a $50 Rubio’s gift card.
