Every year each of our 20 facilities is given the chance to make a donation to an organization of their choosing. We are proud to share that in 2022, San Diego Self Storage made monetary donations to over 30 different local charities and causes!

To launch our 2023 Giving Project, Our Mira Mesa Self Storage location chose The League of Amazing Programmers for our first charitable donation of the year!

The League of Amazing Programmers is a San Diego-based nonprofit organization that teaches coding to under-served youth members from 5th-12th grade. They take students through 8 levels of mastery – from beginner all the way to being a job-ready, certified programmer!

Manager Chris Wood from Mira Mesa Self Storage stated: “What I loved about this organization is how young men and women are being shown crucial skills that will enable them to assist or operate their own business’s making them successful, and along the way developing programs in the highly technical world that we live in. Meeting each of the students and seeing them working on projects and several studying for the Oracle Exam was truly inspiring. The cool thing about it is, when you look at applications on your mobile device one of the students might be making it happen in the near future making our lives easier.”
