San Diego, CA, July 8, 2016 - San Diego Self Storage facilities span San Diego County from Oceanside to Otay Mesa. The organization wanted to find a way for all 17 locations to develop meaningful ties to their local communities. Each site was given $500 to contribute to any organization they see fit. The staff collectively decides and organizes a meeting with their chosen organization.
The American History Theater strives to raise awareness for and honor those who have served and currently serve in our nation's armed forces. Through theater and stage production, AHT is able to deliver its message in a unique and meaningful manner. AHT brings audiences back to poignant moments in our nation's military history and emotionally illustrate what our service members have proudly endeavored through decades of war. Many of the AHT productions provide insight into issues faced by female service members.
With this commitment to veterans, the employee partners at Mira Mesa Self Storage chose The American History Theater for their Community Giving Project contribution. Mira Mesa Self Storage Manager, Chris Wood provided the check to American History Theater's President & CEO, Hal Berry, both at the AHT offices and at the fundraising event at the San Diego Veteran’s Museum in June. This year The American History Theater presented "Hollywood Sings and Dances,” a theatrical walk down a memory lane of America's favorite movies.
