As promised, we have a Tauras update! Tauras and his handler, Sergeant Corey Stasch officially hit their one-year mark since joining the SDPD K9 Unit after a highly extensive training and preparation process.
For those who don’t know, in 2018 San Diego Self Storage donated $12,500 to the San Diego Police Foundation which purchased Tauras.
This dynamic duo graduated from the Police Service Dog Academy with high praise and have continued stopping crime across San Diego ever since. The SDPD K9 Unit could not be more thrilled about Tauras’ success as a police service dog and are grateful to have him on their team.
